Location Option 1- Amie Nelms

After our group meeting today, we established that we would need an outdoor location with a bench. We came up with possible parks and open spaces with benches, however thought it might be easier to look at places closer to our fingertips-our back gardens.

When taking pictures of my bench in our garden, I decided that this possibly isn't the right place to shot. The mise en scene seems too dark, therefore would need a lot of lighting to make it seem naturalistic, which could be a problem seeing as we don't have electricity outside and don't know if I have a long enough extension cable-plus it wouldn't be safe if it starts to rain. Also, the composition of the shots might be a little uninteresting as there is not much visual colours or anything of interest near the bench, apart from the tree.
The bench itself is broken and doesn't look that attractive, definitely not being a strong focal point in the film. Although we do have another bench on our patio, but it looks a bit too modern, plus I don't think it has enough room to create a plack using photoshop, if we chose to include it still in our film.

Perhaps we should look into the other members gardens, or if not parks close by eg. Clair Park and Victoria Park in Haywards Heath, as all members would find it easier to get to, seeing as we live in different locations. However, we would have to consider applying for permission via the council to film in these places, therefore we will have to make a decision very soon about location, and give enough time for possible approval or to find somewhere else.
The search for locations are in progress!
